Physical Appearance: Kailey is of average height, about 5 feet 4 inches. She weighs approximately 110 pounds. Being too skinny has always been a small issue for her, so gaining weight was a necessary task before coming to Hogwarts. Kailey has naturally blond hair, which is currently orange. She dyed it the day that she turned 12. This was the beginning of a rebellious streak in her. Her eye color is a rich chocolate brown, handed down from her grandmother. To people who haven’t seen them before, they look almost black. Her face is equally proportioned, even though she would never care to tell you that her left nostril is slightly larger than her right. Kailey has a crescent-shaped scar on her ear from when she accidentally got ahold of her mum’s wand, being four at the time.

Although being quite pretty, Kailey doesn’t really believe in her looks. She loves her body, now that she gained a bit of weight, but she is ashamed because of her scar. Her friends try to tell her that people only notice when she points it out, but to no avail.

Personality: Kailey is very witty, outgoing, intelligent, and curious, but cannot always control her smart mouth. She makes a wonderful friend and team member. When under great deals of stress, she likes to simply vent about it to her closest friends and asks others for advice. Fortunately, Kailey has not had much trauma in her life, unless the death of her cat counts. She realizes that moving on is essential to living a good life. One of her favorite quotes is,”When one door opens to another door closed, keep on walking until you find the window.” She is a strong believer in opportunity and fate. Though she has no religious affiliation, she thinks that everyone’s fate it already laid out for them and they need to uncover it themselves. Whenever she hits a roadblock in a project, it is simple for her to hop right back up on her feet and go another route. When praised, Kailey is very modest. If given the choice, she would turn away from congratulations and praise. It makes her very uncomfortable, though she deals with it in the best way that she can.

Her largest character flaw is that she is too trusting. Everyone that she meets she trusts, and falls for tricks very easily. This proves to make life difficult for her at some times, being gullible. But, she likes to think of this weakness as a strength as well. She trusts her friends and the people that are close to her. Her largest fear is failure, in anything that she does. This ranges from romance to school studies. She hates failure, so she shows quite a lot of determination. She is also quite afraid of magical creatures. Kailey prefers muggle animals to any creature possessing magical abilities.

Character Background: Kailey’s mother and father went through a divorce when she was seven. Though she would switch between parents, she mostly resided at her father’s home. Her mother’s full name is Abraxia Werz Rayhorn, while her father’s is Randolph Lincoln Rayhorn. Her mother was a dedicated Ravenclaw, and her father was a Hufflepuff. The Rayhorn family has been going to Hogwarts ever since its original opening. They have been scattered in all four of the houses, but it isn’t a large problem in their family, since they are all fairly close. When Kailey was five, she got separated from her parents on a busy Muggle street while shopping. By a stroke of luck, she wandered around for two hours without anything happening to her, and was finally reunited with her parents later that evening. After the event, her parents took her to a child physiatrist to talk about the event with, even though it didn’t affect her to an alarming degree. Because of the event, she does not like large crowds, so adjusting to Hogwarts was a bit difficult at times.
