Name: Kyle Chase
Age: 11
Bloodline: Halfblood related to Related to Joseph Chase (father deceased), ex-Auror and Makayla Williams-Chase, mother
Physical Appearance:Kyle is rather muscular for his age and stands at 4’9”. Doctors can assume that this is probably the result of premature puberty. He was known to kind of snark at it from time to time, but only when he had to. In the most provocative results, it would be when he has had to defend himself against bullies at Muggle schools. His facial appearance differs from the rest of his body though. He has the softest face to look at, because of this, he is easier to approach, and people forget about his domineering size. His eyes were a pale blue and his hair is blond and tied back in a ponytail. He has a permanent tan and that is more then likely from too much sun and not enough lotion.
His favorite attire contains a white collar t-shirt and pair of blue jeans. His shoes are black and do not appear to be too expensive. They are a black pair of tennis shoes that his father bought him. He never had much to wear and most of his clothes were a bit torn and ragged, but dealt with them. When he is in uniform, he tends to go against school regulation, but not to the point to where he is breaking too many rules. The way he wears his uniform comes across as casual, his tie is around his neck, and shirt is buttoned all the way except for the top two.

Personality: He is a laid-back kid with a lot of energy and a big heart. .Kyle isn’t too much into the Pureblood/Mudblood battle. He tends to stay as far away as he can. Not caring for too much confrontation, he studies quite regularly and avoids most mingle activities. The one activity he truly enjoys though is Quidditch. He never misses a game and his favorite team is the Chudley Cannons. Pretty much on a losing season this year, Kyle still roots for them and has hope that they will come out of their slump and eventually win the World Cup. Prior to receiving his letter Kyle spent most of the past summer with his Aunt who is a Muggle, but understands in her own way what magic means. His Aunt is like his mother, full of life and full of encouragement. They want nothing more then to see Chase succeed in everything he does, and Kyle so far has..:
Character Background: He is related to an ex-Auror who fell victim to the Killing Curse and a mother who wanted him to stay away from Hogwarts to study to become a doctor and a lawyer. Growing up he did very well in school and received the highest marks possible in every class. He's been at the top of his class since day one.
His father Joseph Chase was one of the more brilliant wizards alive. Famous for being an Auror, he brought about the end of Death Eaters with him where ever he went. He never made much money, but that didn't matter. All that mattered was that his family was happy.
The day that Kyle was born his father knew he had something special. It was in his very heart and soul. The bond between them would be great and Kyle learned everything he could about the magical world.

It was a hot sunny day and Kyle sat outside reading a book and was so engrossed in what he was reading he did not notice an owl fly by until it dropped a letter from its claw. He closed the book and turned his head to look at it. After examining it very closely, he determined it was safe to open. Cautiously, he began to tear at the envelope. To his surprise, it was a letter from Hogwarts. He began to read:
Dear Mr. Chase,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
He stopped there. That was all he needed to hear. He waited for all his life to see these words and to his amazement, they were right there in front of him. Kyle wanted to attend the school like his father before him and without hesitation; he ran inside his house and searched for his Aunt. He found his aunt sitting on the Victorian style couch in her purple dress and black high heels. She was watching TV and turned to look at him. She wrinkled her brow as she surveyed the white sheet of paper in his hand and gasped.
“Auntie…Auntie! I have the letter. I have received my letter and they elected me into Hogwarts as a student! That means I can study magic officially now. I’m going to pack my stuff,” Kyle said and he ran upstairs. His aunt followed him with bewilderment.
“Well hang on a minute Mister! What are you going to tell your mother? She was hoping you’d study to become a doctor or a lawyer. Now you’re going to Hogwarts? Are you sure, you want to do this? Remember what happened to your father,” she tried to reprimand him.
Kyle’s enjoyment just collapsed. Indeed his father died trying to help send a former Death Eater to Azkaban, but he failed and fell victim to the killing curse. Joseph was an Auror and an excellent one, but that one faithful day when he learned that he died, Kyle’s hopes of going to Hogwarts dashed and he almost stopped caring about magic. He listened to his Aunt’s words with artificial respect.
“I’m sorry Aunt Gloria, but I’m going. My father would have wanted me to continue on the tradition of magic in his home. Please understand,” he pleaded.
“I’ll call your mother,” she said with a little strain to her voice. Gloria didn’t want to believe he was going to be out on his own. Strangers were going to teach him something she barely understood herself and that put extra worry on her.
That night Kyle could not sleep. His thoughts concentrated on that very moment when he would be on the train to Hogwarts he heard about so many years ago before his father died. Visions of children laughing and eating chocolate covered frogs swelled in his head like a balloon. It felt like forever until the alarm next to him went off. The abrupt noise startled Kyle and sleepily he banged down on it hard. He slowly got out of his bed and got ready for the day to come.
The Sorting Ceremony:
After a long train ride and sitting by himself, Kyle was now inside the castle. As a prefect led him and his classmates towards the huge double doors into the Great Hall, he found himself staring at the stairs. His eyes grew wide as they intertwined with each other. He silently thought to himself, ‘I hope I never find myself in the middle of those things when they change.’
His heart was pounding and beads of sweat started to roll on his face. The sorting ceremony was about to begin. He stood there in line and anxiously waited his turn. Seconds turned into minutes and minutes turned into hours. Kyle started to drift off and he found himself gazing at the ever-changing ceiling. It was a rather stormy night and the infamous canvas above reflected it. As each first year student was placed into their respective houses, a thunderous applause from every occupant in the Hall rang in his ears. It became deafening. It was almost to the point where he turned tail and ran, but his name was called. He gulped a few times and gasped for some air. Slowly he walked up the steps and he grew worried. His thoughts ran through him like a potion gone badly. After what seemed like an hour or two longer, the Sorting Hat was placed on his head.
The hat was old…centuries old it seemed but when it spoke, it spoke with wisdom and knowledge, “Aaah, it’s been a long time since we’ve had a Chase like you come into our ranks. Your father was a great wizard. I sense talent and yet I sense a little fear. You are right to do so. Things here do not often come quick. It takes a lot of heart, determination and will to learn what everyone else is here for, but I am sure that you can accomplish that. I also sense that you wish to follow in your father’s footsteps?”
Kyle shook his head in agreement, "But where to put you? You have the will and determination, yet you have the loyalty and tolerance to be anyone's friend. Hmm....you've definitely given me a difficult choice, but I am never wrong. Hufflepuff!”
Kyle blinked. That wasn’t the answer he expected, but at least it wasn’t Slytherin, “Thank you,” he said to the Sorting Hat, but it went silent.
