Oi. So, it's quite obvious I haven't been on in a while. There's just been too much for me to handle out in the real world that it's tampered with my ability to write, other than things that sort of vent my depression. Or anger. Or...whatever this is that I'm not liking a whole lot.

I'm taking a break for a while. S'not like I was overly active, nor did I really talk to a load of people like I'd wanted to. It's hard to get into the scene when all the "higher ranking people" only talk to those they know. I came here once before, ages before Godric's Hollow opened up.

I never made myself clear, because it's kind of a disappointment to see that the new members are sort of looked away from, unless they're Edward Cullen lovers or whatever.

I'm Evening Calabrese from the Godric's Hollow boards, and yes, you know I've always been the kind to pull this kind of thing. I know a few faces that hail from there, and was curious to see how accepting this community was to new members who came in off of the street. For the first few weeks of being here, I was as active as I was able to be, talking to anyone and everyone, but to no vail.

What happened to the days where admins really tried to include their new members?

Just saying.

Anyway, I'm out for a while. I've got to deal with an ex who tried to kill me, the legal crap that comes with that, the onset depression of knowing I've condemned him to termination from this program and the hurt of compassion that comes with it, the stress of my CNA testing results, and looking into becoming a HHA for one of my neglected residents.

All posts will be put on notice until I return, if I return, and... yeah. I think that's it.

I'm very sorry you feel that way - if the board came off as intimidating or unwelcoming, than we really appreciate your input as a member and would love to make this a better place and more welcoming for new members. However, I feel that what you have said is a little unfair, You can't accuse all high-ranking members don't talk to people they don't know. It's not fair to generalize those particular members like that, when some of them go out of their way to be welcoming to newer members. Yes, most of them may find it hard to squeeze in time to RP with every single member that asks them, but they are busy people as well. And it takes a little bit more than a few weeks to really settle in to a site with as many members as this one has.

But, I do see your point about "cliques" and things. I myself have been guilty of it in the past, in other places then WR, but I think if you had brought it to a member of staff's attention, things would have been better for you.
