Name: Terrance Bennett
Age: 25
Bloodline: Half Blood
Physical Appearance: Being just about six food, Terrance is only really intimidating from a distance. His skin is a dark sepia, and his hair is black and is buzzed short. His legs are very long, and give him a long stride. He has a rounded face with median thick lips and a flat nose inbetween oval shaped eyes that are both a deep shade of brown. His arms and body type is relatively thin with a good bit of muscle he developed playing Keeper when he was in school.
Usually he wears dark robes in shades of purple or dark grey. During class he is seen in nicely pressed slacks, and clean shirts, but outside of class he has been seen on more then one occasion in track suits, hoddies and jeans. Any t-shirts accompanying them tends to have the logo of different Quidditch teams, but favors the Moutohora Macaws of New Zealand.
Personality: Terrance never really forsaw himself as professor material, but then again he never really forsaw himself as being anything. He is surprisingly underwhelm by most things, and almost seeming ampathetic to his position. He is however very qualified because when he was young he found mythology interesting, or at the very least more interesting the very mundane life he led even in a world full of magic. He's very well known for sleeping a good fourteen hours a day, and when he's not teaching, playing cards or chess to quell his boredom.
Character Background: Terrance was born and raised in New Zealand. His mother had him when she was a bit young, and couldn't properly take care of him, so he was mostly raised by his grandparents then. When he was about six, his mother got married, and all three of them moved to Yorkshire England, and it wasn't a bad life. It was his mother's side that he got his magic from so it was not surprising at all when he got his letter from Hogwarts. Though his grandparents thought he should go to the school they went too instead of some foreign school, he went with his mother's wishes to recieve schooling in the same hemisphere of herself and her husband.
Hogwarts was an okay experience, really for him it was just school. Magical or not, it was something he got used to doing with few aspects of the whole thing actually seeming very thrilling to him. Quidditch however was one of the few things he did enjoy. He played Keeper for his house team for a few years, but wasn't ever quite good enough to join a national team. Just before graduating, his grandfather died and his grandmother just went all to pieces, so he moved in with her to help out for a little while. It took a few years, but his grandmother gradually fell out of the despair of her husband's passing into a state of subtle acceptance, while Terrance himself tried and went through a couple of jobs that he was fired from or quit because of his inactivity or own boredom. While visiting his mother, he learned that there was a post opening up at his own school and thought it might be a good change of pace.

Desired Subject: Ancient Mythology
Roleplay Sample: It was always such a long train ride. Appairating would of been much faster, but the rules of the school on that were the same as ever, the convinence of one wizard was the security breach of another. Sighing, he sat against the lush exterior of the cabin. It was nostalgic, but it was also boring, students didn't generally sit in cabins with professors so he really didn't have anyone to play chess with. He hadn't seen any other professors who seemed willing either. Then again he hadn't met all of them since most of them took alternate transportation or simply stayed at the castle during the holidays.
It seemed like almost forever before the sun sank over the horizon and the lights of the castle came into view. Terrance had long since fallen into a dooze and was only awakened by the sound of the train whistle as it pulled into Hogsmeade.
"It's about time."
Flicking his wand, he let his trunks follow him as he took up behind the students and started off the train. As her got off, he shivered in the chilly winter night's air,
I certianly didn't miss that.
Looking over the lake to the castle he let out a sigh as he started towards the carriages with the upper years. It'd probably look strange him getting on the carriages, but he honestly didn't care just as long as he could get out of this cold.
The classroom he had been assigned was on the second floor, and was well lit and almost completely covered in dust. Yawning, he moved across the floor and looked to the corner to see a broom and dust pan had been placed for his convinience. Flicking his wand boredly he watched the two items come to life and start there work as he moved to the front of the classroom. Sitting down in the chair behind the desk he leaned a bit back in it to test it out. He was going to be here for a while so he might as well get comfortable.
