Title: [H]Caden Bennet Burke
Description: Acting? Who, me?

Caden Burke - February 26, 2010 05:35 AM (GMT)
[Pre-note: This is the return of Arran Ackerman!...Except with a different character. I'm making Caden here, my new main character.

Name: Caden Bennet Burke

Age: 17

Bloodline: Half-blood

Physical Appearance: Most first impressions of Caden are ones of ‘Wow, that guy is weird.’ He tries his best to give off a rather placid appearance to the world around him, and that tends to get people to either ignore him, or try and figure him out. His eyes aid him in his attempts, their cool coal color - pure in their simplicity - betray no thought. His cocoa brown hair frames his roundish face, its style switching around every other week or so. Some days it will have a little dye, others it will be shorter on one side, anything to agree with his style.

Physically, he is fairly in between fat and thin, he isn’t unhealthy, but isn’t in shape either. His wide wardrobe is usually made of the most fashionable clothing Caden can find, and usually contains contrasting colors like blues and oranges, and greens and purples.

Personality: If described in one word, actor would be the one to describe Caden. Due to his love of Theatre, he’s made it a point in his life to improve his acting at any chance he can get. Whenever he meets someone new, he’ll try out different personalities on different people to see their reaction. As well as acting as someone new, he enjoys watching and studying the reactions of other people. As someone who enjoys learning, along with his love of Theatre, Caden has an interest in Psychology.

Due to his acting, he has rarely ever let someone see his true self. At least, not deeply. His friends that he consider his real friends only know the surface, but Caden and his journal are the only ones who know who he really is. In reality, he is a very confused and shy person despite his very extroverted and cocky appearance.

Caden never understood why when a guy was fashionable; he was automatically labeled as ‘gay.’ As far as Caden figured, he was straight (though he never gave it much thought) and was also totally fashionable. After all, why do guys have to be careless about how they look to be fit the stereotype? Caden has always been considered at least metrosexual by people. He never felt like he fit the straight guy stereotype – jockish, insensitive moron. Quite the contrary, he is the opposite! Caden had never enjoyed hanging out with other guys, simply because he rarely saw eye to eye with them.

In terms of his fashion sense, he always enjoyed getting new clothes and trying on new outfits. It’s not like he would just go to the mall after school to window shop and try on new things, he merely enjoyed the once-a-year trip to getting new clothes.

Character Background: Caden was born in a small town in Southern Europe. He grew up with both his parents – his father a wizard and his mother a muggle – in a loving home with a tight-knit family. His first eleven years were good ones, his father teaching him the joys of magic, and his mother giving him the benefits of a muggle upbringing. He spent his first schooling years in a regular public school, but when he got his letter to Hogwarts, he was ecstatic! He wanted nothing more than to learn about magic; after all, he found it all so…magical.

His first year at Hogwarts was very upsetting in terms of adjustment. Since he came from such a tight-knit family, it was nerve wracking to be away from them for such a long period of time. After Christmas, however, he was able to adjust easier. He wasn’t quite the social butterfly he wanted to be, but he had at least one good friend to keep him company.

The first three years were fairly repetitive: first months were adjustment, the remaining merely schooling and being with the best friend at the time. In the summer of his third year, he was invited to a theatre production by a friend of his from school that lived near him. That was the trigger that sent him into the endless spiral that would encourage his love of theatre and acting. It was then that he wanted to learn acting, and he spent the rest of the summer reading and learning about the drama section.

In his fourth year, he began to expand a bit and he got a group of friends, mostly girls. He also began to develop his habit of trying new things around different people. Soon, he pushed the limits enough that through the course of the year, he would change a small habit, to where he would change his entire personality around different people.

Through the summer, he joined different acting groups and developed a love for being on stage. Caden also dabbled in musical theatre, though he wasn’t much of a singer, he loved the message many musicals brought. He went back to school ready for the people! His fifth year went by quick, with all his friends and such around him. He always considered it his best year because of the new confidence he had from being on stage. Now, he is entering his sixth year and ready to begin!

Special Request: Everything. At once. :P

Desired House: If this was REAL, we wouldn’t have a choice, we’d just sit on the stool, and the Hat would sort us! So I submit that duty to you admins! PUT ME WHERE YOU WILL!!

Roleplay Sample: Caden leaned up against the entrance to the Courtyard, staring out at the autumnal grounds. Across his shoulder rested a long stick that he had used as a walking stick when he went hiking on the edge of the Forest. Of course, he didn’t particularly need the stick, but he enjoyed walking with one, just for the feeling of badass-ness when he had it on his shoulder, and the feeling of sophistication when he used it like a cane.

Two girls came walking up to the courtyard, and a quick idea flashed through Caden’s mind. He adjusted his position, leaning more parallel to the opposite die of the door, he rested his foot so his knee was bent, his weight balanced on the other foot. The two girls walked up and glanced at him. He gave a cocky grin and said, “Hey, babe.”

One of the girls, blonde and older, turned to him and said, “Excuse me?”

“Juss’ sayin’,” Caden said, grinning crookedly, “You’re not bad lookin’.”

The girl gave an annoyed huff and walked off. He snickered a bit, dropping the stick down to his side; he walked off to the courtyard and sat down on a small bench, glancing around. The courtyard today was fairly empty, no one walked on the concrete padding or splashed in the fountain, which was surprising considering it was a fairly warm day. He sighed and pulled out a small leather bound journal from a pocket in his black jacket. He jotted a few things down in it with a custom quill that had the majority of the feather cut off and ink magically set inside. He rarely used it, it was more for quick notes or writing outside; he carried it around nonetheless.

After writing down a quick entry, he decided he didn’t want to be outside anymore. He looked up, and tossed his stick way up into the air, where it landed somewhere on the roof of the bridge. He smirked and walked off, heading into the castle.

Congratulations! You have been sorted into Hufflepuff. Welcome to Wizarding Realm!

In light of the fact that you are new, here are a few bits of information that will help you on your journey to greatness. :)

Introduction Topic: One of the greatest ways to get to know other members (aside from RPing of course) is to make an intro topic. You can do that here. Post so that you may be properly welcomed!

The Ranking System: In an effort to help you reach your greatest writing potential, WR has instituted ranks. You start out as a beginner. Once you create three topics and put your application up for review, you will most likely be bumped up to novice. Once you reach that level, more forums in Hogwarts open up to you. Such as... the plotting pages and the journals. After that, you can pursue higher ranks; They are Intermediate, Advanced, and Elite. More detailed information and applications can be found here.

The Clash: Fast forward several years into the future, after your character has graduated from Hogwarts and had a little time to live. Two groups, The Guardians and Vesithe, are at war with each other. Another group called the Vigilante are neutral and work to stop the fighting. This is an ongoing plot that is seperate from the rest of the WR Roleplaying. You must have 50 posts to join, but that's not that hard! :P

Other Information: The signature limit is currently 500x250. Annnd colors are not to be used in your roleplaying posts. We have a skin changer and several different color skins. What might look good on one skin could be unreadable on another. Oh oh, and if you are already a member of WR, and have not gotten permission for having this character from Sundari Harmony, you better do so quick or feel her wrath. xD

Thanks so much for joining and we all hope to see you stay!
