Title: Improvements?

How would you like to see the ranking system improve? Or, would you like to not see it at all? You can post all of your concerns here. This system is for you, and we want to know how we can help you the most.

Please do not post with 'we could review faster'. We all have busy lives and do the best we can.

Aside from that, what would you like to see?

Two things: One, I noticed that there are a few characters who are on the list for both Novice and Intermediate. I think those characters are all intermediate and whoever moved them to that just forgot to remove them from the Novice ranking list (in the honor roll thread).

Secondly and this has helped me when I've applied, maybe there could be a suggestion that the applicant writes a few short sentences about each thread they submit, highlighting the a sentence for a summary of what goes on and then a few good and bad points. It helps people to be more assertive of their own abilities. I saw one of the other RPers do this and thought it would be a good idea. I can't remember for certain, but I think it was Jordan... perhaps making a suggestion to do this when applying for Novice and then requiring it for Intermediate, Advanced and Elite (or some variation thereof) would be something to consider. =)

I really do like that idea, Callisto. It really helps us as well to see how dedicated people are to rising in ranks when they take the time to actually explain how each thread is important to their character development and such ... and it might have been me who you saw do that, but I was not the only one who did it. I copied the idea from other people ... LOL

I'm not sure about making it a requirement though - because if people take the initiative to do it, it really shows how dedicated they are to improving their role playing. But, I think it could be a requirement for perhaps moving to Elite? Or Advanced even? Maybe, as you said, strongly suggest it to both Novice and Intermediate, and then make it a requirement for the final two?

I think the staff should discuss this and see what decision we can arrive at, because I like the idea.

And as for the honor roll, we will get someone on that ASAP. Perhaps it's been taken care of already? Hmm ... I will look into it :)
