Title: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Description: Release daatee
Riley Autumns - June 20, 2008 03:18 PM (GMT)
It's coming out November 21st, 2008! Hooraayy!
When I think of the movies and try to block out the books, the movies aren't half bad... They all work hard. =3 I still think the third movie was my favorite, though the third book is my favorite as well... Haha.
Anyway! What do you guys think? Too soon? I heard the 7th movie is coming out in 2010...
Brodie Daniels - June 20, 2008 03:27 PM (GMT)
OMG November 1st? It's so close! I expected next year some time!!!! Oh wow, I can't wait!~ But I agree, I can't think of the books watching the movies. They are so different. But I love them still.
2010? That's so far away!! But aren't they making 2 movies for it? That's what I
heard
Donovan Isaacs - June 20, 2008 03:54 PM (GMT)
Same here. I can't do that with any book without being frustrated. Third movie was my favorite, but the sixth book was my favorite book.
A few friends and I are planning to dress up and go see it when it comes out. I'm already making my costume. I'm more than halfway done with the scarf and hopefully I'll be making a few scarves for my friends. :D
PS. Time for a little Slytherin pride there! ^_^
Riley Autumns - June 20, 2008 06:27 PM (GMT)
Yeah, the first half of the last movie will come out 2010, but the second half comes out 2011. When the 5th movie came out, the whole time I was watching it, I kept complaining about all they left out. xD I was really disappointed. Oh well.
Cloe Carrigen - June 20, 2008 10:16 PM (GMT)
I KNOW. The fifth book was my second-favourite, and the movie butchered it. =(
My favourite movie was the fourth one. Dear, I loved the Yule Ball. It was the best thing everrr.
BUT I AM STOKED FOR DHx2 ! THAT MEANS NOTHING IS LEFT OUT. HAHA. HAHA WOOOOT.
Alyssa Hemmingway - June 20, 2008 10:24 PM (GMT)
How old is Daniel Radcliffe now?
Forty-seven?
Donovan Isaacs - June 20, 2008 10:36 PM (GMT)
 He's about 19 or 20 ish. Something like that.
Luke Remington - June 21, 2008 03:01 AM (GMT)
Haha, if he was forty seven I don't think people would be paying to see him in the nude on stage. =D
Alyssa Hemmingway - June 21, 2008 06:41 AM (GMT)
Serena Bell - June 21, 2008 10:09 PM (GMT)
Yayyyy. Just in time for my birfday. :)
Evan Demetrius - July 2, 2008 07:43 PM (GMT)
That's not too long a wait ...
And I personally HATED the third movie. they got it all wrong, wrong, wrong ...
It's good for a movie, but it sucks when you look at it as based off the book.
I dunno ... it just made me really angry. I loved the third book, so the movie made me mad.
My fav book now is the sixth/seventh ... it's a tie.
Callisto Verity - July 2, 2008 07:54 PM (GMT)
@Jordan: Heh, I actually saw the first three movies before I read any of the books, so that'd explain why I liked the first few movies (well, the first and the third) a lot; there was nothing to compare them to.
Ardan Silvermoon - July 2, 2008 11:46 PM (GMT)
November 1rst sounds good XD and if you ask me, I'll hate the 7th movie as much as I hated the book.
Evan Demetrius - July 3, 2008 07:25 PM (GMT)
Callisto;; I guess they were good if you think of them as stand alone movies ... but you're lucky you saw them before reading the books. I'm kind of biased because I absolutely LOVE the books, so each movie just gets me disappointed
Ardan, didn't Azzy say November 21st, not the 1st? And I
LOVED
the seventh book. But I don't think many people did ... I did. I've read it like five times now. Because I have no life.
Serena Bell - July 3, 2008 07:29 PM (GMT)
I loved the seventh book too! Including the epilogue. I thought it was a perfect ending. And everyone else is bitching and moaning about how horrible it was.
Callisto Verity - July 3, 2008 07:43 PM (GMT)
Meredith and Jordan;; The seventh book was... interesting. I liked most of it (especially seeing more of Snape's history). Though the epilogue was a little too "now everything's nice and we don't have to deal with the repercussions of the war anymore"... it was kind of sappy and had too much of the typical happy ending for me. *shrugs* But it was a decent book. Sixth book was better, in my opinion. :D
Evan Demetrius - July 3, 2008 07:48 PM (GMT)
Yeah I love both of them ... the Sixth and Seventh are tied in my mind.
But Snape is officially my favourite character. Seriously. He is just ... amazing.
Gene Octavia - July 3, 2008 07:49 PM (GMT)
I liked the seventh book and the epilogue was ALRIGHT. What I hated was the names of Harry's kids. Effing retarded, IMO. =( And a lot of the deaths seemed to be ridiculously placed. But...other than that, it was interesting. I liked the huge amount of Snape info. <33
Vorian Atreides - July 3, 2008 11:31 PM (GMT)
I have to say the seventh book is the best out of all of them. My ALL TIME FAVOURITE CHARATER is BELLATRIX LESTRANGE, yes she died in the end but throught the whole book she freaking OWNED. I mean she tortured Hermione, killed Dobby and Tonks, almost killed Ginny. AND Dumbledore said he didn't want to fall into her hands because she likes to "play with her food before she eats it", Dumbledore being my other favourite character just makes Bella a goddess to me (The fact that she is pretty much still a hottie after Azkaban does it for me too)
I argue that Bella is the third strongest wizard in the books. First is Dumbledore, then Voldemort. I think she is stronger than Snape because she was not afraid of Dumbledore at all and was even able to deflect his spell in the fifth book (which they left out of the movie, grrr...) and her Cruciatus Curse?! Come now...I would say Snape either ties with her or comes in a close fourth.
Callisto Verity - July 4, 2008 03:07 PM (GMT)
She and Snape have different styles; my impression of them when I read the books (which I only read once or twice, depending on the book) was that Bella is very outwardly strong and forceful whereas Snape is better at being subtle and magic that involves that. It could also be a personality thing.
Bella is an awesome character for being evil and I like her more than the other evil characters by a long shot. However, Snape's still my favorite character. I don't care how strong his magical skills are (for comparison on that, Lupin and Neville were my other favorites); if Filch had such an interesting - and awesome - personality, he'd probably be one of my favorite characters. ^_^
Misa Kuran - July 6, 2008 10:37 PM (GMT)
Uh-oh...
Me likers Bella. She's a wonderful character. On the other hand, I still can't stand Snape--he was brave and heroic and all that, but I just can't stand him. The first book was probably responsible for that...
Draco used to be my favorite. (When I was shallow and stupid...) Now I don't know who is...maybe Sirius. Lupin was awesome...so was Neville.
I don't like Ginny. She a bit of a Mary-Sue. )= Especially in the last two books. The seventh book was amazing, though. I read it again and again...the epilogue irked me though. It was kind of abrupt. Other than that...yeah...this is me rambling.
THE FOURTH BOOK WAS THE BEST. RAWR.
Gene Octavia - July 6, 2008 10:43 PM (GMT)
D= Yeah. I don't like the whole Ginny/Harry thing. Eyuck. Harry should have dated...um...nobody. Coz' he was a whiny bitch. Especially in OOTP. D: I wanted to break his face.
SIRIUS FOR THE WIN!! <333
Bixle Jy Star - July 6, 2008 10:49 PM (GMT)
I loved the seventh. The fourth was... Sigh. Perhaps my favorite. I actually liked Snape, even in the first. HOWEVER, in the sixth, my feelings for him were all over, lol. I probably would've liked the fifth one more, but Umbridge ruined it for me. xD She just pissed me off so much.
Donovan Isaacs - July 6, 2008 10:51 PM (GMT)
Lupin's awesome, too, especially in the books. I didn't like the way they portrayed him in the movies as much. But when I read the part in HBP when Tonks asked if he would marry her, I actually started crying. Especially with the surrounding scene... Dumbledore had just been killed by Snape, Bill Weasley was lying on the hospital bed and horribly scratched up by Greyback...
One of the main reasons I like Snape a lot is that he's pretty complex, though I do agree that he was kind of a jerk throughout the books. Even though he makes Dumbledore promise not to let the students or other faculty know what he's truly like, it's still a pathetic excuse. Makes for an interesting character, though. ^_^
Ardan Silvermoon - July 7, 2008 01:12 AM (GMT)
My favorite character... Bellatrix on the evil side and Dumbledore in the good side. I mean, Bellatrix got the BEST quote ever in the whole serie... "Don't touch my kids, bitch"
Serena Bell - July 9, 2008 09:55 PM (GMT)

Bixle Jy Star - July 10, 2008 12:46 AM (GMT)
Evan Demetrius - July 14, 2008 02:49 PM (GMT)
SO I found some stuff out.
They are taking Bill and Fleur out of the movie. Geryback now attacks Arthur Weasley instead of bill.
WTF!?
Now, if they put the wedding in movie #7, it's going to seem so random. Idiots.
Riley Autumns - July 14, 2008 03:18 PM (GMT)
R U FECKIN' SRS?! Uggghhh!!! I hate the director!! >O
Quinton Alexander - July 14, 2008 05:33 PM (GMT)
That makes no Sence!
And poor Aurth... getting atacked two movies in a row...
Vorian Atreides - July 14, 2008 11:19 PM (GMT)
That ruins the first half of the movie because that is how they find out to go to Xeno Lovegoods! They have to put the wedding in the movie! It's when the damn ministry falls! They should have had Guiellermo del Toro do it, then we could have a Pan's Labyrinth sort of Harry Potter and it would be complete because he sticks to scripts!
Quinton Alexander - July 14, 2008 11:27 PM (GMT)
Preach it brother! I would sacrifice for special computer grafic effects fro a good hp flick!
Eilidh Sutherland - July 15, 2008 12:19 AM (GMT)
GAHHH WHAT THE HELL, DAVID YATES.
Luke Remington - July 15, 2008 02:15 AM (GMT)
I don't care. Malfoy is just a sexbomb.
but HAHAHA RON AND LAVENDER. xD
Here are some more piccies.
Cloe Carrigen - July 15, 2008 04:47 AM (GMT)
GALAJAKLJ RON QUIDDITCH = LOVE
Evan Demetrius - July 15, 2008 01:31 PM (GMT)
I was about to say: WHO THE HELL ARE THOSE TWO GUYS BEHIND RON? SINCE WHEN ARE THEIR SO MANY GUYS ON THE QUIDDITCH TEAM??
But then I remembered that Fred and George left. So yeah.
I feel dumb now.
Scot Tarmikos - July 22, 2008 07:39 PM (GMT)
It's okay, Bro. We know you're dumb.
Well, they could have a diff wedding with other people, that Harry randomly attends because of his celebrity status.
OR! They could just have the ministry be full of epic fail and kinda just... blow up? And have maybe a few shots of the Ministry being attacked and switch to the trio going all ZOMG?
I dunno. They can still pull it off. ;)
