It had been an insane last few months. After the fall out with her mother, Sky left for New York for spring break. Rather than staying for just a week, she ended up staying a whole month. It was amazing. Except, she hadn't been able to do magic. But taking that time with her grandmother was the best thing she could have done. She was reminded a bit of who she was, at least a little bit. She was still the same person even if her New York grandma wasn't really her grandmother. At least, not by blood. It didn't matter though. She'd been worried that somehow knowing the truth was going to change their relationship, but it didn't. Instead, her grandmother had doted on her, overly so, in a way that the brunette was tired of after the second week, but couldn't make herself return to school either. School just seemed like a whole other planet that she didn't want to tackle. She was always ahead in her schoolwork - well, at least until the big revelation - and the tests at the end of sixth year didn't really matter much anyway. She was rather certain that she could pass her classes, if not do very well, even with the missed weeks.

Tonight though, tonight was all about being back at school and celebrating with friends. Jae had asked her to hang out with him and while Sky was rather excited about the prospect, she was also nervous. Not because of the boy, no, he was a friend and she knew him well. It was more because this would be first time drinking in over a month and she had a low tolerance as it was and also because she didn't want people asking questions about where she had been. Sky wished there was a way to just post a sign about where she had been so that it could all be taken care of and everyone would know and no one would think to ask her. She figured after the first drink or so, no one would really care about where the badger had been and they could all just have fun together.

By the time the duo arrived, the party was in full swing. There were a number of students that she knew and a whole slew of others that she didn't. The music was loud and everyone seemed to be clutching a cup of something. Alcohol, it seemed was not really all that hard to obtain at Hogwarts if one only knew where to look. And apparently, it seemed, Sky and Jae did know how to look. The Hufflepuff was new to the party scene having been tapped in last fall with a certain Gryffindor bad boy and the trend continued as more and more of her friends seemed interested in the after hours festivities that could be found nearly every weekend. How the student body managed to keep it quiet from the professors was beyond her understanding, the girl was merely glad that they did. Or perhaps, she considered, the professors knew it was going on and merely pretended not to notice for the sake of teens being teens? Yeah... that was it. Her smile grew faintly as her favorite song began to play.

SEVENTEEN ✘ HUFFLEPUFF ✘ SIXTH YEAR</font><br></center>


Oh gosh. What to tell you about Sky... hmmm... She's originally from New York City and started her education at Salem Witches Academy. She has recently found out that Kieran Sawyer is her cousin (their parents hid it from them and it's actually a bit bigger of a plot than just that...) She loves to play Quidditch and is a chaser or seeker. I'm not sure if she'll go out for the house team or not when/if the time comes, but she'll definitely be a spectator. She has been a prefect, Quidditch captain, and newspaper editor before. Basically, this girl used to do a lot. She's been slacking as of late (because my life is was insane).

I have a totally awesome explanation for why she's been slacking: she is mad at her mother and doesn't know who she is anymore. She has no idea what she wants to do with her life after graduation and she's just generally feeling rather weird about stuff in life. She is an Animagus (Siberian Husky) and she's boss at transfiguration and charms. She's a pretty good writer and likes history of magic. My plan is for her to want to work at the Ministry of Magic or for The Daily Prophet.

What else do you need to know about her? Umm... I plan on starting a fresh new tracker and all fresh new threads. Unless someone really wants something that we've had in the past and really wants me to pick up on it again... I'd prefer new threads. I'd love to keep past plotting as far as friendships and history if anyone/everyone is willing. <333 Also, new people, come at me! I am anxious for Sky to reunite with old friends and make new ones!</font><p>

► Okay, so Sky is friendly with just about everyone and therefore would have like a million friends/acquaintances. She loves Quidditch and writing. She actually doesn't mind studying and loves to read and write. She would be friendly to a toadstool if she thought it had feelings. Basically, she's just really nice. However, she's also secretly angry right now. She's mad at her mother. She acts like she's over it, but secretly, she's looking to act out. So anyone who might want to help this "goodie-goodie" have a little fun (maybe get into a bit of trouble, but not <i>too</i> much trouble, that would be great too!

But I really only see this being friendly-ish. Or perhaps someone is snotty to Sky. Or something. Whatever ideas you have, throw them here!

Eventually (between school and clash) she has a baby with someone (an NPC who is no longer on site) but everything else is really open. I would love to play around here with all and anything if you're interested. I have no specific plans. So... uh... make some for me? (P.S. She's into dudes. But like... that doesn't mean other things can't happen... like lady-crushes.)

and now i'm back [from outer space]

HI! Okay... so I'm not really back from outerspace. But I am back from student teaching which did, on occassion, feel like outer space. Some of you will probably remember me but there will be many of you who might not (yet) know me. My name is KT/Katie (both aliases I have used here) and I am a former admin and a former very-active member. I was very busy finishing my last year in college and student teaching and the like but I am coming back to WR this summer (and for the foreseeable future)!

As far as who I will be bringing back, at first, it will just be Sky. Once I get her established, I will work on adding back in others. Not sure who yet, but it will likely be Pippa. Depending on how things go in the next week, that could be how quickly I would bring someone else in. I am having a ton of muse and I want to use it. So, if you are interested in plotting, let me know! I will be getting a plot thread up shortly!

There had been a time, only two years ago, when Sky had first met her fellow American wizard. Aeryn was one of the few other transfer students at Hogwarts as they were rather rare. He was also the person that she often confided many a thing in. Of course, these days there wasn't much for her to tell him that he wouldn't have likely heard if it wasn't for the vicious rumor mill. Kieran Sawyer was her twin brother, she'd gotten a number of howlers from her mother, and she had been spotted at more parties since November than she had in all of her life before that. What exactly was wrong with Schuyler Sutherland? In short, probably absolutely nothing. In long? She was feeling more than a little sorry for herself following the recent revelations regarding her family. Not only had her mother (and her father) lied to her about not having a cousin, but that she was adopted! She was her "cousin's" twin sister. It really was quite the dramatic scoop and was no wonder that the witch had suddenly started to re-examine who she was. When an entire life is built on lies, an identity begins to feel much the same way.

Today though... well, today she was hoping to gain some perspective. She had no idea that her friend was also going through his own personal turmoil. But when Sky strode through the halls to find a friend, there was no stopping her. She wouldn't force her friend to talk to her but rather she was hoping that by simply hanging out with him that she might start to feel better. He might even have a problem that she could help solve. That usually made her feel better as well; being useful. When she was useful, there was no use in feeling horrible because she served a purpose and made someone else have a bit better time.

The Hufflepuff paced the halls searching for the Head Boy. Perhaps she could have tried his dormitory but after awhile of wandering in the twilight she finally just gave up and sat on a bench. She could have sworn her friend was to be out and about patrolling tonight. Maybe he'd taken a different way or decided to pass off his shift. Either way, she was fine right where she was. Why not just sit on this bench awhile. She could resume her search when frustration at her situation and in locating those she most needed subsided.
